Spar is a large cantilevered floor light taking its inspiration from the mast arrangements of classic sailing boats.

The simple, two dimensional silhouette relies on a tensioned electrical cable for support. Constructed in spun aluminum and steel, the product breaks down for easy shipping. The Best Design awards are New Zealand's annual showcase of excellence in Graphic, Spatial, Product and Interactive design. The Resident Spar Light won a Silver Medal – Best Design Awards 2011.
