The Balzac armchair was designed in 1991 by Matthew Hilton. A seminal piece of furniture designed and manufactured in Britain.
The Balzac chair has a solid beech frame with steel springs and elasticated webbing, covered in multi-density foam with feather cushions gives medium to soft support. The Balzac chair has legs in American oak and is available in a choice of leathers or fabrics.
The Balzac armchair was included in Taschen’s book ’1000 chairs’ and features as a permanent exhibit at the Geffrye Museum in London.
The Balzac armchair range also includes both 2 and 3 seater sofas and Balzac footstool.
